This is cute, although whether it's just the effects of an all-nighter or something, I don't see how the thread title pertains to the thread o.O or maybe I'm just sleep-deprived. (yeahyeah, what else is new. *doze* must finish my darn finals and papers, sorry Clinton for not keeping in touch, email is the bane of my existance during the shiken no kisetsu *urgh*) Well, I'd have to say that if I found an awesome Gundam cel (of a Gundam) I would lust after it. (<-- Mecha and assorted sci-fi junkie) It depends on the series, but most Gundam series are wonderful for their plot and politics, and the mecha... wow, it's hard to think that except for the limitations of fuel, such hulking beasties are probably possible to create today (with all the sadness they would also undoubtedly bring to war). I disliked Gundam Wing (after obsessing over it for about a week) because it suffered from the boy version of the Sailor Moon syndrome. Cute boys, like pretty girls = instant brew for anime popularity? I'm just glad GW has a story to redeem itself ^^; As for cels I would never THINK of buying... foremost would be Sailor Moon cels, which makes them extremely good targets for gifts to friends who -do-for-heaven't-sake- like them. (not that I have, yet ^^; but been thinking about...) and assorted shoujo henshin series like Wedding Peach, CCS... I wonder if Rayearth counts... (I think it's in the gray area ^^;;) Shonen henshin, though... well, only accepting Shulato for now. What else... no Takahashi cels... can't stand the lack of noses and enormous eyes with tiny pupils =) and her stories are so lo~~ng (well i.e. UY, Maison Ikkoku, Ranma...) No Dragonball cels for that reason, too, though I wouldn't mind a token mirai Trunks and 18-gou (my favs in the manga) And no monotone cels. If they're going to grace anime with color, there'd better be shading, too! ^^ Jey. *adores his ambiguously good/evil guys with evil-smirks* ^_^; |
