>it is an excellent change considering how many
>people have abused the feedback system with their lies
Yes, it's a good idea where random slander and angry
postings are concerned, but there are drawbacks, too. What
about when a seller has to sell to the second bidder because
the high bidder was an irresponsible jerk who backed out?
Then the seller can't leave positive feedback for the person
who actually successfully completed the sale. Also,
sometimes a seller will sell even if the reserve is not met
(and eBay still gets the "reserve not met" fee, so I don't
care for the "they don't get their money" argument as
they seem to be doing well already with their high fees!)
if the high bid is very close to the reserve, and this way
the seller/bidder can not leave feedback for each other
after a successful transaction is completed. |
