As with any country, you will get a mixture of reactions.

But I don't think that failure to sell to American consumers
is necessarily a prejudice. (I mean, there could be some
who are). If an American company was called up by a person
who spoke a different language (and the receiver knew little,
if any, of that language), how likely would it be that that
person will get what he or she wants? Plus, it can be a
headache for somebody to sell internationally if it's never
been done before. I mean, let's look at a less-American centric
point of view.

I say, it can't hurt to try to contact sellers. Be aware,
though, that miscommunication through failure of a common
language can cause many problems -- Yahoo Japan auctions
are a case in point because how do you know what you are
getting? I hope this helps.

Oh, it's late for me, too, so let me sign off before I say
something weird ^_^

Wendy
