20th Anniv. Studio Pierrot cel sale (Wed May 27 10:49:53 1998
) Darla :) http://www.hashi.com/darla/homepage.htm darla@alles.or.jp |
I was wondering if anyone else when to this. My daughter and I went to pick up some Fushigi Yuugi cels. This was held in Shibuya, Tokyo and it was a madhouse. We left the house at 6am and got to Shibuya at about 7:45am and waited in line until past 10:00 to buy cels. We went on Sunday and that was the most crowded day I think. They let folks in 5 at a time and you only had a limited time to look at cels. They limited it to where you could only buy 5 cels per person. The folks in front of us were also wanting Fushigi Yuugi and they took a lot of time looking through them. The guy shouted time and I had to say "Hey wait...we haven't even gotten to look at one cel." and they said to hurry so we had to flip through the cels really fast. Unfortunately because of that we picked out some cels that we now wish we had gotten different ones of but we can't complain. We were able to get some nice cels. I know most of you don't live in Japan but I was wondering if anyone was here for this....the AIC studio sale was around the same time so I thought some of you might have hit them both if you were in Japan. I am just interested in what you thought of the way it was run. I have never seen anyone sell cels they way they had it done with limiting it to 5 people in the store at a time and 5 cels per person. Even so, I've heard some dealers in the US have managed to get hold of a lot of the cels to sell. Haven't seen any on the net though yet. Darla :) |
