That's a good point, though I've seen them for sale before.

Here's another thing, often at conventions, there are art 
auctions of fan art...of course, this art uses copyrighted
anime characters, this even happens at the major industry
cons.  Original pieces can go for several hundred dollars.
This would lead me to believe that people don't care...however,
so would the fact that SM CDs keep selling...which is obviously
not the case.
