We're not going to remove all the cels from our gallery:
First of all because we own some of them and want to
share the image with other fans; Secondly because there
are actually more cel owners out there who have given
permission for (or don't care if) people to use their
cels than there are those who haven't.
I don't see that depriving fans of all cels because of
a few people is a fair decision. We do remove the cels
when asked to by the owners. But as long as those images
are on the internet, they're going to end up on other
people's sites.
I strongly suggest that people mark images that they
don't want taken with their URL. (There's a very simple
way to do this in a batch process/"action" using Photoshop.
Set up the action once, save it and you can run it
everytime you scan in a cel. Or run a group of cels through
the action at once.) That's what I do when I want to
make sure that I'm credited with the creation of an image.
The beauty of the image still shows through, and I know
that other people, like Scot and I, do not post images
with URLs stamped on them. |
