> how rich or influential or restrictive eBay might be, but that cheating > is still cheating and is such, wrong? Where is it defined that it's cheating ? Who said that an item you auction has to sell anyway ? I can perfectly put total crap that nobody will ever buy... Did you ever looked at what is auctioned ??? I saw plenty of auction that weren't for actual goods. > They throw the party, they can set the house rules. As long as it's legal. And several of the things they do aren't. > if someone compiled a list of your buyers and contacted them offering similar > merchandise - would you hand over a customer list to a competitor for this > purpose? If not, then why should eBay? Two things : 1) No seller will forbid you to compare prices and contact other people and tell them what you think about such or such cel. Just this forum is a proof. Did you never discussed with a friend about what he/she think of a cel for sale ? That's what e-bay forbid. 2) E-bay is not the seller or buyer. It's just an ad space. That mean that they don't have anything to say on that matter ! It should be strictly between sellers and buyers. > I don't see why it is considered unethical or "greedy" No. I say it's illegal ! (I am refering to closing auction because the auctioner also use another system than e-bay). It's similar to when Coca was refusing to sell their produces to some shops because they also were selling Pepsi. (Or was it the reverse ?). It's illegal to do such a things _in the law_ > And don't feel so bad about your ISP registry. Internic > charges $75 Internic is a company. SWISH is a non-commercial organization that get its money from the country... They should not do anything commercial. Got the differance ??? |
