E-bay gain some money from the false auction even if
nobody bid on it.

Yes, E-bay perhaps not gain as much if it's a false
auction but they still gain something when nearly all
internet index are free...

Also, E-bay doesn't "play" by the rules :
Some months ago, I did an auction and they simply
closed it because there was a link to my page where
I have my own auction program !
That's not legal ! I paid for a service : adv. space
on their site and they cancel it because I am also using
a similar produce from someone else ? There is laws
against such behaviour...

Another example ? Fansub are illegal. Selling them
is even more illegal. At the begining of E-bay,
when we were informing them about someone auctioning
fansubs, they were closing the auctions. Now, they
simply answer : "That's not our problem, we are not
responsible for what people auction. They should only
auction legal stuff".
Against, that's again the law. They are responsible !

Strangely enough, they don't have this attitude with
pirated video games... Some people suggested that
E-bay dosn't feel concerned by far away animation
companies but that it's another matter with US
based video games companies having the mean to sue
them... That's probably only luck and have nothing
to do with that explaination.

Fact is, E-bay is selling advertisment space for
auctioner's produces. As long as those produces
are legal, they shouldn't complain about how we
advertise them and what we advertise. Hell, we
should be allowed to auction the source codes
of an auction program similar to E-bay if we want!
