Painted ones can stick too...Unfortunately one of my YUA 
cels with BG got a little stuck on some air-brushed portions 
that were under the painted part of the cel.  

But Jotaru hit it on the head-there's something about the
painted background that the laser could never have.  I think
it's the fact that there was a human being behind the art,
and heck, I *have* bought cels because I liked the backgrounds.  

Unfortunately, when I get them the cels are usually stapled
to them. Maybe some day I'll get a pair of jeweler's pliers
and carefully remove the staples(I have removed staples from
other types of documents with bare minimal damage.)
