Recently, a *lot* of people have started cel collecting.  
I don't know what exactly makes this hobby popular, but
that could be a whole new series of postings.

Unfortunately, many of these people don't know much, and 
can be easily duped into buying fakes, and destroying their
cels without knowing it.

This tremendous increase in demand for cels has lead to
some prices going through the roof, and there's no chance
to think-if you see a nice cel on a net dealer's site, 
better get it before it's gone.

A lot of series where real cels are hard to get are getting
very popular(like Kenshin) and few people know that not
too many of the real cels got released.  

The best thing we could possibly do is educate people about
what constitutes a forgery.

Even in spite of all these events, I think that most of the
people who post on this BBS and whatnot are good people.
I've dealt with numerous members without really knowing them
all that well, but my deals with them went very well.
The influx of forgeries is indeed sad, but overall, the 
cel collectors here are a good bunch of people.
