Sorry, Yann, perhaps I should've worded what I said a bit
differently.
As far as I know, the options you mention are not available
for home use. The consumer does not usually have the option
of chosing what kind of connection they want.
Businesses might have an option, but I'm not sure.
And Melissa lives near Boston, a big city, so cable should
be available in here area very soon.
It is a young technology and there are many legal hurdles to
overcome with regards to shared lines, region divisions, etc.
There is a lot of red tape and stupid burocracy in this country
this is the reason why cable is not so wide spread yet in the
US, nothing is government controlled and private enterprise
has it's problems. This is why it is so much more readily
avalible in countries where the governement has control over
utilities and such. |
