The cel in question is currently up for sale on a dealer's
website, so unfortunately I can't include a picture. I
would say who it is, but I'm not sure that's an okay thing
to do here.
The seller has told me that they purchase from a very
reputable dealer and have for many years without incident.
I believe this person 100 percent. I want to make it clear
that I am NOT criticizing this dealer in any way.
What prompts this question is that I bought a cel from
Animanga recently of Sailor Jupiter's transformation (Thanks Yann^_^).
It stated that it was probably a promotional cel instead
of a production one. I thought the price was perfectly acceptable for this type of cel. But this Black Lady cel
is considerably more money.
I have heard that Toei did make some reproduction cels. Is
this true? I'm wondering if this might be the case here.
I don't think there is a possibility of this being a fan
cel since it has a minor amount of line fading (something
I don't think a fan would include :) ).
Ahhh! Maybe I should just go ahead and get the dang thing.
Cel collecting can be so frustrating at times, but I think
the joy of getting a good cel it worth it!!
