There is no standard for the shikishi
reproduction. The artists can start off with
pencil first, then paint on top with markers or
watercolor. Or just a quick sketch with marker.
Basically, the artists can draw or do anything
they want on shikishi...totally wide-opened.
For the reproduction ones, same idea except it's
just a copy of the original. If you have good
artistic eyes, you can tell by the paint or ink
on the paper texture whether it's a print
reproduction or original. |
