Has anyone ever seen a pre-printed colour shikishi
with pencil/sketch marks still underneath the colouring?
Or are the original images for preprinted shikishi
usually cleaned up before they're printed? Anyone
have any good links about shikishi in general or know
anything about anime/manga print shikishi standards?
I'm asking because I would like to find out if a full-
colour, well-detailed shikishi I own (and always thought
was either done by a doujinka or pre-printed) is actually
an original or not. I've just translated the sweeping
signature in kanji/hiragana only to discover that the
signature is that of the series creator/mangaka. I
suppose it could have been a charity auction piece or
something... hence the time that seems to have been
taken on it, but I'm not sure. Hmm... anyone? Thanks in
advance!
