Hello, I actually posted this before a few weeks
ago asking about this.
I bid on an auction for some sketches, etc. Sold
for $30. The deputy service told me that the "Cel
Sale" did not apply to sketches and charged me
additional fees. When I got in the order, there
were 17 matching cels to the sketches that were on
auction (they were stuck to the back of the
sketches, so was not an "accident").
The seller didn't mention anything about what is
being sold in the auction. In fact, they didn't
even have much of a description, just showed a
picture of a batch of sketches and said to check
out their other auctions. Obviously, the deputy
service did not inspect the item as they would
have found that these came with cels and charged
me for non-cel items (additional $13 fee).
So, after 2 weeks of trying to contact this deputy
service, they told me about 4 days ago "We have
absolutely no way of knowing this is a cel
auction. The description says set of genga [was
mentioned int he title and listed int he cel
category] and has no mention of cels." So, does
this mean one can claim ignorance and just charge
someone additional fees?
I told the deputy service that since the auction
came with cels, I think it should qualify as a
"cel" item and apply to their cel sale. They have
not responded to 2 of my e-mails for the past 4
days. What should I do about this? Should I
pursue this? I know it doesn't seem like a lot of
money, but with the fees and shipping, it came out
to $120 for $30 sketches and cels (the cels
probably added an additional $10-15 in shipping
weight too). Thanks for your help. |
