You best option is probably to get a correction 
layer made... that way the cel itself is not 
altered and won't lose any value.  It shouldn't 
be hard to find someone who can make one for 
you, or you can even try a hand at it yourself, 
as the only think at risk is a blank piece of 
acetate.
