The airports and such need to actually have 
currency and exchange it.  Paypal doesn't need to-
 it's all electronic, and it's pure profit.  It 
wouldn't bug me so much if the rate on ebay 
matched the one on paypal, but the rate on ebay 
is even a little better than prime rate (at least 
when I checked a couple of days ago).  And the 
other thing that really bothered me was that the 
rate paypal gave still didn't match what came up 
when I clicked to pay for ebay items - it was 
more even higher than the rate on paypal's check 
rate utility.
