I only had one significantly damaged package, but 
it still wasn't nearly as bad as what the rest of 
you went through.  But it was a cel that I had 
instantly fallen in love with, so if the image had 
been damaged, I would have been sorely 
disappointed.  As it turned out, the corners was 
badly creased and slightly mangled, but I could 
live with that.

What's really significant was the way it was 
reported to me.  I'm primarily a Japanese toy 
collector, and I use a deputy for that who 
specializes in toys.  Since I already had an order 
coming, I asked him to nab this cel off YJ and 
send it, too.  The package was damaged in Japan, 
so he took about 5(!) digital pictures of it from 
various angles before even opening it up! ^_^  He 
wanted to know if he should send it back 
immediately or open it for me to inspect it.

I'll admit that my feeling of helplessness as my 
treasure was crunched thousands of miles away was 
slightly assuaged by this sort of hand-holding.  
Heh.  :-)
