I don't know much console games but I think that
it was original on Saturn and NEC PC-FX. The 1 and 
2 (there is 5 in all) where also released on PS1
and on PC. I don't know for the others... probably
also Saturn and PS1. But Langrisser Millenium is 
on Dreamcast. (design is total differant)
I think that there is an english version of the 1 
and 2 released under another name.

No, there isn't any anime. (But Legend of Lemnear 
has a similar design)
