As one major needle phobic to another, I feel your 
pain (almost literally... I can't read about stuff 
like that without twitching and wincing).  Hope 
your arm feels better soon, that the flashbacks 
vanish in a week or so (*grin*), that your health 
problems get better, and that you enjoy this 
battered bishy -- poor, poor injured Vash, in one 
of his most painful moments.
