Maybe I can help a bit with this.  I am/was also 
pretty adicted to my cels last year.  I had 
gotten into some really bad debt and had to part 
with a good many of my best cels.  It was a 
little hard because I had the cels for awhile, 
but they were also of characters that I had no 
real feelings for. I like how Lady Brick put it.  
Pull out the cel and find what you dont like 
about it, and also think about how happy the cel 
might make someone else.  I collect Nuriko cels 
(as you know now, hahah!) and I have a terrible 
time parting with any of them.  I have sold a 
couple in the past, and it was always hard 
because Im -very- attatched to them.  But, they 
were shots that werent quite what I like.  Im a 
snob, I like primo A shots, shoulders up and face 
visible.  I mainly collect cels because Im a big 
fan of anime art/faces/eyes, so the cel has to be 
visually appealing for me.  The only exceptions 
are of course Nuriko cels...I can have a cel of 
his back and be happy ^_^.  Other characters I 
only like the best shots I can find, and matching 
bg is always a plus.  This is not to say other 
cels arent great too, but this is my preference. 
It also saves me a lot of money because A shot 
cels from the series I like are hard to find.  
When I do find them, it's worth it ^_~
