Do I have to spell it out even more plainly for
you? Why else would you post such comments like
those in the above posts? You should be happy
for him! He got an AMAZING cel, & one that is a
~*DREAM*~ cel for him! Anytime another human
being accomplishes something great you should
praise him/her! I'm not saying everyone should
go without CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM...but...At
least present it in a mature manner, or discuss
it privately with them.
When I placed my order...I didn't tell Nick
it was a Dragon Half cel...I mentioned it
afterwards as well. I was too busy trying to
type out my order e-mail to try to get her.
Besides...The way I see it...You put the code the
Dealer has there...Otherwise there can be
confusion in the ordering process, or people
coming outta the woodwork saying "THEY DIDN'T
ORDER BY THE RIGHT CODE!!! I'M NEXT IN LINE & I
DID PUT THE RIGHT CODE!!!" See my point? ;)
I don't think he acted like a whiney maniac on
the AC Forum...I would have been shitting my
pants as well thinking others might get it.
But...Hey...You know what...That's life...You win
some, & you lose some. If you think it
through...There's plenty of options left open to
you to get a Dragon Half cel, & I'm just nice
enough to lay out a plan for you:
1) Contact those who own DH cels, & make them
offers. If they decline, kindly ask them to keep
you in mind if they ever decide to sell it! I
have a LIST of ppl on a waiting list for many of
the cels I own, & I fully intend to contact them
if I ever decide to part with said cel...
2) Shoot off e-mails to major cel dealers,
especially those in Japan. Have them check their
inventory for you! Have them keep a look-out for
any DH cels for you! I know some that are more
than happy to do that! Even Major American cel
dealers will! You give them what their looking
for, & they'll keep an open eye for it over in
Japan! I couldn't believe how friendly some of
our major cel dealers were to do this for me &
MANY other cel collectors!
3) Check Yahoo! Japan Auctions. I've seen about
3 DH cels pop up there in the past 3 years!
Check the auctions daily, go through every
page...etc. Sometimes they'll put a cel in with
a picture of regular DH merchandise only to be
seen by opening up the auction.
4) Finally...Sit back, relax, & enjoy life.
Worrying about things like this will only make
you miserable. Meditate on all that's been said
& hasn't been & come to peace with the fact that
you, & MANY OTHER PEOPLE, didn't get the cel.
Myself included. You don't see everyone else
coming out & complaining about it publicly,
behind a false name. If you really wanted to
make a point....Use your real posting name. You
may find yourself more hesitant to post such
remarks. You may find yourself doing it in a
more mature manner as well.
All in all, there's no need for such remarks on
this forum. It makes me sick to read them. Be
happy for each other, & tell them so wether you
feel they deserved the cel or not. I feel your
frustration, but always look at the bright side.
You'll begin to feel this hobby, & the others in
it, more enjoyable as the collecting years go
on...
