I guess I don't mind it happening this one time 
(although others are already a little upset 
about it obviously), but it really should not 
happen again... end of story.

Spam to me can include more than just 
unsolicited ads.  My rule of thumb:

unwanted + unwarranted + irrelevant + no use = 
spam
