tried my best to get around it, but if you're 
very very sensitive to spoilers, you might want 
to skip it.]



'wistful' is actually one of my favourite 
adjectives... and is in fact something i look 
for in anime characters. bishounen are often 
very good at being wistful, ne? anyway, this is 
part of the large update with which i want to 
open my new gallery... aburatsubo and takeo of 
MTT! now before you say, "wait a minute, he's 
smiling in that!"...

i know we all love abby for being as flaming and 
fabulous as he is... but one of my favourite 
scenes in all of MTT! is when nanaka and abby 
have their talk (trying to leave the spoilers 
out). a.) the scene puts me on the verge of 
tears, b.) it sheds a beautiful pathos of sorts 
on abby's character, as it does on nanaka's. and 
while i'm not sure where the scene in this 
douga/genga set is in the MTT! ova just yet so i 
can't justify my sense of the action in it, the 
reason i bought the set is because abby has a 
faint wistful smile playing on his lips, as if 
he's said something a little too sincere 
(whether about his feelings for takeo or about 
his situation/life in general) to takeo-kun and 
takeo has turned to peer at him with some degree 
of curiosity. the downward turn of his eyes 
helps me read the scene this way too. the other 
complete douga in the set actually features abby 
talking to takeo. and while it's likely that i'm 
granting abby far too many Romantic 
characteristics in this one scene, i'm sure i'm 
not the *only* one that perceives that 
wistfulness in abby every once in a while 
through the duration of the series. and that's 
why i thought i would add this to the show me, 
instead of my pouting marron or crying mikael.

okay, i'm getting off my aburatsubo soapbox now.

celestin-less (celestin is my titanium g4 laptop 
who is suffering in the dark caverns of tekserve 
for the next ten days and from whom i am
