Oh, yes, I know that not *all* movies are darker, 
just more than enough to make me curious enough 
to ask. 

And your response about them being more "serious" 
is a good point. I thought that too.

As for the Evangelion movie....*yikes*.. I don't 
think they needed darker colors to make it more 
serious.. jeesh. Talk about nightmares. O.o

OH! And another movie I thought of was the Cowboy 
bebop movie. I think this effects the sales on 
cels from these movies (because so many cels are 
so dark, or the well lit/bright cels end up 
costing more because there are so few), perhaps 
not? What do you think?
