On X [two], there is an interview with the 
Director [or someone, I don't remember] and he 
talks about what he had in mind for the series, 
how it differs from the Movie, insight into the 
characters, and an explanation of the OVA 
[episode 0[which you shouldn't watch before 
you've seen past episode 13]].  It shows footage 
of the crew making sketches of the characters, 
and that, I believe, is of which yu kurosawa 
spoke.
