Someone had told me earlier like maybe two months 
ago that "Spirited Away" was digitally made. I 
argued on this board that this was not true, and 
disagreed with them based on an interview I read 
my Hayao Miyazaki on his Ghibli site about the 
issue. He basically said that backgrounds were 
CG, but he did not mention that character images 
were made digitally. So, I too assumed that they 
were hand painted. WRONG.

 I contacted an excellent fan site for further

 I asked the same questions about the cels. They 
told me that "Spirited Away" was 100 percent CG!! 
;-O ! Devastating news...
