Hey, I just figured I'd report this to the board
because I know how often people in here run
auctions on ebay.

I got an email this morning from 'ebay updates'
(securebilling@ebay.com) with the title 'ebay
update (urgent please read) that said that my
credit card bounced and that I needed to go to
their link and put in my info right away.

Except the link they give isn't exactly the link
that you go to, although it also looks like it's
an ebay site.

I got confirmation that my current bill cleared
at least a week ago from ebay, and I checked just
in case by going directly through ebay and not
their link, and my bill had been paid fine. This
seems EXTREMELY shady, so if anyone else gets a
message like this, for god sakes don't do it. Go
check your balance the manual way first or email
ebay directly from their website.

Don't even know how to report a scam using ebay
to ebay, and I don't think they'd do anything
about it (even if they could) so just figured I'd
give you all a heads-up.
