I really shouldn't be doing this, as I don't
want to get in trouble, but I have to completely
dis-agree. Quality has VERY MUCH to do with
Opening Cel value. I have yet to see a show
that doesn't have more detailed and better
produced cels in the OP. And I Definitely have
yet to see a show with worse cels in the OP.

And as stated already, the series Rurouni
Kenshin has VERY beautiful OP cels, while most
of the series is 'ok' to 'good' quality. Only
from the mid 40's to mid 60's in episode numbers
does the quality match the OP. This is of
course, to the exception where they got lazy and
simply borrowed cels that are previously in the
show.

The key word there is borrowed. They are normal
production cels. To say that they are OP cels
simply because they are re-shown... If you've
seen Fushigi Yugi, think about this. The ending
is simply moments from the episode show again.
If that's the case, and it is, would that mean
that 3 to 4 minutes of every FY episode is made
of Ending cels? NO! No way!

I don't want to be a jerk, but I almost think
it's crazy to think normal production cels shown
in the show first; created for that purpose, to
be part of the show, between the OP and ED, are
the same as cels that were created to be used in
the OP and ED originally.

Just so you know, I also think the reverse would
be true. If a cel was used in an Ending credit
of a show, and then a very similar scene was
going to happen later in the show, so they just
used the same cels... they would be considered
OP cels. See what I mean? Anyway, please
nobody hate me. Especially the seller of the
cel in question. I actually think it's quite a
nice cel, and would be bidding if I had more
money right now.
