The only egroups I know of is egroups.com, which 
was bought out by Yahoo and became 
groups.yahoo.com a year or two ago.  I don't know 
if you need those egroups files or not.  For what 
it's worth, I'm a member and owner of several 
groups there, and Spybot did not see 
any "egroups" items.

As for the eBay pop-up problem, I'm guessing that 
either the cookie that would tell eBay to stop 
hassling you with that survey is corrupt or 
missing... or that eBay's javascript isn't 
executing properly on your computer.  You might 
want to contact eBay and let them know the 
trouble you're having with their survey pop-up.

(If you want to take a sledgehammer approach at 
fixing the problem yourself, just delete all your 
eBay cookies and start fresh.  I can't guarantee 
that will fix the problem though, and if you have 
customized your ebay preferences you may have to 
reset those.)
