I have a bit of a predicament that I'm not sure
how to resolve and I hope someone can help.
Recently I put a couple of my cels up for sale
on eBay. One sold straight away but the other I
had to relist.
With about a day to go, someone used the 'Buy it
now' option and sent the 'payment request' email
which I responded to straight away but since
then they haven't made contact. I've now emailed
them twice, including eBay's payment reminder
which I sent over two days ago and still nothing.
My problem is this: today is a free listing day
on eBay and if this person isn't going to
respond and buy this cel then I want to relist
the item today to avoid the fees.
I'm guessing there'd be a problem if I relisted
the item and this person suddenly paid since the
auction is a legal contract blah blah blah but I
think this person's had fair amount of time to
get in touch.
So what do I do? Relist and say 'hard luck' or
keep trying to contact this buyer?
On a side note, I've used eBay for about three
years, mainly as a buyer but on and off as a
seller and I don't know what it is, but I seem
to have had nothing but trouble recently with
people not paying or trying to stall payment. I
had one person who emailed me every week for
over a month saying she hadn't sent payment yet
because she'd had bills to pay - irrespective of
the fact that I'd put the damn items up for sale
because I had bills to pay!
Anyway, sorry for the rant and any opinions
would be appreciated.
