i'm really excited about kawamoto toshihiro being at 
this year's otakon (my first)... and i would really like to 
be able to request a sketch (even a doodle, i'm not 
picky) of quite possibly my all-time favourite anime 
character from him. knowing basic japanese, i've even 
gone through a script of introduction, declaration of 
admiration and requesting in my head... in japanese. 
but i'm still not really sure how to go about it. and i 
thought it best to have a plan of action ahead of time, 
instead of waiting until my first otakon and being utterly 
overwhelmed with everything.

seeing how so many forum collectors have gone to 
cons in the past and brought home gorgeous sketches 
by the guests... i was wondering if you'd share your 
stories about obtaining doodles, especially tales from 
otakon. also, what has been the procedure at otakon for 
such things in the past? i couldn't find anything on the 
site re: autographs/sketches, though i might have 
missed it if it was recently updated. i know some cons 
have a special lottery system and/or are very strict with 
the sessions... how is otakon in regards to that?

guess this answers the earlier thread of if i'll be there or
