Ohh... I'm not sure how to classify this - dream 
cel or... something else entirely.

When I was younger (ohh the horrors of 
adolecence) my dad use to take me to a store in 
the mall that sold Warner Brothers and Disney 
cels.  He knew the lady there somewhat, and she 
use to explain the whole concept of animation 
cels to me (each time I had a new question for 
her =3).  I'd pester the lady over and over again 
to see if she could find me a Samurai Pizza Cats 
cel - my favourite show at the time - for me to 
see/touch/buy/own.  She looked at me like I was 
crazy ._.;;.  I was 13 at the time and decided 
that since I could not find nor buy cels from 
SPC, I would make them myself.  Cheap ghetto 
sheet protectors and oil paints ^^;;;.

Anyways, I did exactly how the lady described.  I 
made a rough sketch, a final sketch, traced the 
lines onto the cel, and painted the back ^^;; (I 
swear I broke the pause button on the VCR 
countless times).  Unfortuneatly, I can't find 
most of the ghetto cels nor can I find half of 
the final sketches (which I coloured XD;;) - but 
I do have the binder for all my rough sketches :D

This summer, I nearly died when a dealer at AX 
showed me the cel below - as it went almost 
perfectly with a rough sketch I'd made 10 years 
earlier ^_^



This cel makes me so very very happy - it just 
drips with delight.  It was something I'd 
forgotten I'd wished for a loooong time ago.
