My parents complex is quiet. Down the street from 
them was a really stupid little kid. His house was
on the bend in the road and the driveway wasn't 
*quite* a blind drive, but was pretty darn close. 
His favorite game is/was: race down his driveway 
and out into the middle of the road whenever he 
saw a car coming, then bolt off. (Always 
laughing.) I think squealing tires amused him.

Anyhow, he'd done this to me multiple times. Then 
I got revenge. I heard a car somewhere near the 
bend screech to a halt. So I undid my seatbelt 
and even cracked the driver door open. Sure 
enough, when I got to the bend, he darted out in 
front of me -- and wasn't ready for me to slam 
the car into park, jump out, and grab him. (I'm 
amazed the gears survived. I didn't even brake.) 
I left my car right in the middle of the street 
and dragged him straight to his parent's door. 
His mother looked completely shocked when I told 
her what he'd been doing, how long he'd been 
doing it (my family has lived there for 27 years 
now), and how many times I'd almost hit him.

I can't claim I saw him do it after that, but he 
might have noted what my car looked like. 9_9

So in his memory (if he's not already dead, I'm 
sure it won't be long), here's a cel. . . an 
adult glowering down on someone smaller than they 
are!!
