Er.....how about losing an entire cel book? (Sat Aug 23 05:27:36 2003 )

Yep, I actually did this. Since the beginning
of July, we have been remodelling the entire
second floor of my house, which means that my
entire room has been in boxes and I was sleeping
in the living room on the sofa bed for three
weeks while new paint and carpet was being put
in.

So, one day I just get a hankering to look at my
cels, and I could not find my one and only cel
book anywhere. I have only 10 cels, so they
were all in this book. And these aren't cheap
cels. So I looked around for it, and couldn't
find it. I figured I had brought it downstairs
with my computer and everything else that hadn't
been put in boxes, because the boxes were going
into an attic that gets VERY HOT in the summer
and it wouldn't be too smart to stick my cel
book in that environment for about a month. So
then I started to think "well, I know its not
good to put it in the heat and I wouldn't have
done that, but did I anyway?" After scouring my
desk and every room on the first floor, and
eventually my entire attic, opening at least a
dozen boxes of books and things, I couldn't find
it.

I eventually got really paniced and thought for
a moment that maybe the carpet people had stolen
it. ^_^ I was about on the verge of tears when I
go back into the room downstairs will my comp.
et all and find it under a stack of posters that
I had taken off my walls. So I had basically
walked by it every day since we had started
remodelling. I gave it a big hug when I found
it. ;)

So I guess the lesson of the story is, even if
you are putting your cels in a safe place that
you will remember, you can and will forget about
them.
