I can't believe it...I *lost* a cel. (Sat Aug 23 01:03:59 2003 )

Greetings everyone,

Where I come from, I'm renowned for my bad
memory and tendency to misplace stuff. I get
used to it. I make backups of most of my stuff
or leave notes to remind myself of stuff.

But this just...blows me away.

I was recently working on my site, updating the
cels, redesigning the general look, and adding
descriptions. Finally, I got to a Krillin cel
in my DBZ section. I started thumbing through
my cel book to find the cel number and other
information. I go through the entire thing,
only to come the last page and realize that I
had just gone through the entire thing and
had not found it.

A mistake, thought. Surely, I would not be so
stupid as to lose something as precious as a
cel, right? Thumb through again, searching
underneath other cels and backgrounds. No such
luck.

Now I'm worried. I go through the bags in which
I keep my sketches (for safety reasons),
thinking that maybe I just misplaced it and left
it in the bag. But...nothing.

Now, for a moment, I thought that maybe I had
been mistaken and not bought that. It was a
bulk order from a buddy of mine, and perhaps my
memory was just playing tricks on me. But - lo
and behold - I have the sketch.

So now I'm sitting here, at my computer, staring
at the image I have on my drive, and I can't
help but wonder what kind of idiot I am.

Lest I forget, how about the fate of this
unlucky cel? My best guess is that it's tucked
under papers somewhere and I just misplaced it.
The worst guess is that I accidentally threw it
out with the box I received it in. The latter
seems illogical, seeing as how I had taken the
time to already separate sketch and cel and
place them in a book, not to mention my tendency
to check and recheck boxes 3-4 times before
disposing of them.

My one relief is that it was a cheap cel,
nothing really expensive, not even $30. I
suppose if I had to lose one it's best that it
was this one.

But still...it's lost. I lost a cel.
*slaps forehead* ARGH!

Is there anyone out there whose done this
before? Or have I really discovered a new kind
of stupid?

Oh, and by the way, here's the unlucky bugger:
