I agree, I've gotten some pretty shifty e-mails 
from people claiming to be e-bay and paypal.  Be 
sure you write to e-bay and ask them what's 
going on.  Have you actually tried to log into 
your e-bay account?  That might be a simple way 
of checking the validity of the e-mails.  As far 
as I know, I've never heard of e-bay 
automatically re-setting anyone's passwords or 
suspending service (for anything that wasn't an 
offense that is...)
