I'm doing too many things at once here :)

All the things you said about ferrets is very good
advice.  I was going to go into detail about it
but I didn't want to ramble, and I have a tendancy
to do so!  

Ferrets do have a lot problems health wise. 
Ferrets in general are a very big investment.  I
agree completely about adoption, most people want
baby ferrets so the adult ones usually don't stand
a chance :(

I would suggest reading about them and maybe
subscribing to the Ferret magazine.  It has a lot
of good advice and a lot of it will get you
prepared just in case something does go wrong.  I
know when they develope health problems the sooner
you notice the symptoms the better.

Also, ferrets are creatures of habit and once they
learn how to do something you almost never can
break them of it!  They can almost always get in
and on everything they set there minds to.  
What is yours is definately theirs and don't be
surprised if they take it - they are definately
little theives *l*
