I agree with Drac.  And then, there's the sorry-
butt principle I learned the hard way from years 
in SF/media fandom and buying at art auctions.

When you go to re-sell, it seems like nobody 
wants to pay the prices you paid in the heat of 
the bidding moment/lust for a new series!
