The X/1999 movie even by most Clamp Fan's 
admission is was not a great success. It is hard 
to compress 18+ manga vols into 90 mins of movie 
to make a coherent story.

The primary reason why we collect from the movie 
is that 
1. The X character designs are amazing and 
whatever the story of the movie - the visuals 
were astounding.
2. The same reason why cels from the complete bit 
of Fluff called Miyukichan in wonderland cost 
sooo much is that we are CLAMP whores.... The 
cels are soooo purdy
