Lets just say it cuts both ways...

Example:
You being an obsessive collector you camp the 
great AIC cel spawn, animaxis for say Battle 
Athlete cels of Akari and Tanya. On the 
thirteenth night of camping you hit gold, several 
sequinces are posted for sale, stuff that lots of 
people might want. Anyways, your there first on 
the scene do you grab it all or just pick up some 
choice cels from everything. 

Now lets flip it the other way, your an hour to 
late. Someone else decided to buy practically the 
entire update and the left over crumbs are pretty 
sad and you've just missed out completely.

Do I have a point maybe not, but sometimes even 
if you cant have the best cels, its still nice to 
leave at least with something from popular 
sequince rather than go home completely empty 
handed.

* As for the camping analogy, couldn't help 
comparing cel collectors and mmorpg'rs, though 
I'm guilty of being both.
