I got rid of all my old VHS tapes(except some 
Magical Girls shows) ages ago.
I dumped them all on friends with no jobs and 
such.
You could donate them to local charites so they 
could be rerecorded for say, the elderly or 
handicapped people.
As for CD, well I target shoot and they make 
really good targets  :-)
