(Bearing in mind this is my opinion. As an owner
of a set of copied Fruits Basket settei and
storyboard.)
The appeal of settei/storyboard copies and even a
large set of copied genga is getting to see the
artwork and the part it plays in the whole
animation process. Sure they may be copies, but
in the case of the settei/storyboards they may
have been made by the studio itself and sent
around to the animators. (But, of course, it
could just have been copied by someone else.)
Even though a set of 233 genga may not have much
value as far as a collector's item, I bet it
would be HIGHLY fascinating to see. It's a
glimpse at something that you would otherwise
never get a chance to see. |
