Hi,
This question is directed to anyone that has
purchased from an oversea dealer from Canada
using 'postal money order' method.
I'm in a bit of a problem here. I recently
ordered from Anime-taro a couple of cels. I
later realized that they accept payment from
Canadian residents only in Japanese Yen using
postal money order. I thought no problem. When I
called into my post office they said that they do
make money orders out in Japanese currency, and
the process is like any other money order (ie. I
pay in CAN funds the yen exchange rate, they give
me a money order slip for the specified amount,
and I have a "pink" money order and the carbon
copy slip which I mail out to the receiver by
myself.)
However, I was informed by Anime Taro that
the "post office sends the money order *for* me"
and this is where I'm confused =(
Has anyone here ever dealt with oversea dealers
and know the correct process for sending payment?
(is the post office supposed to 'wire' or send
the money to the addressee for me, or will I just
get the money order slip and have to mail out
myself?)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thankyou!
