I don't have Paypal hooked up to a bank account
and so when I'm paid by Paypal, it's not instant
receipt of the money - far from it! I basically
can't get at that money at all until I want to
spend it on something. (Since I'm also not about
to go through the hassle of trying to get Paypal
to send me a check.)
I think that if someone, especially a business,
is going to openly accept Paypal, then they really
shouldn't be charging extra for it. (But I don't
get a bone up my butt if they do. Then it's merely
my choice to pay the extra or pay by another
method.) However, I also think that if two people
make a *private* deal to use Paypal and - between
the two of them - agree that the buyer will pay
the fee. . . That is something different. When I
list things for sale, I almost never list that
I'll accept Paypal, however I *do* have an
account - so if someone wrote and asked for me to
accept it because it was convienient for them, I
would definitely consider it. But ONLY if they're
willing to pay for that convienience, because
it's *not* convienient for me.
