I like pans (and oversized cels).  There's more 
room for detail.  I love detail.  Often this 
means you can get a detailed shot of the length 
of an outfit you couldn't fit on a normal sized 
cel.  Also, there's just something really 
impressive about a -very big- cel.  I just 
think "wow" when I see them.  Furthermore, a lot 
of scenes I like just happen to be pans, so maybe 
I tend to like them for that reason.

On the down side, they can be a pain to store and 
I always worry about something happening to them 
because of that.

I think you'll enjoy your pan ^_^.  I don't see 
any reason to like them less than my standard 
sized cels (which I also love ^_~)
