For those of you who lived through the blasphemy
of a domestic dubbed release called, "Evil
Zone"... I pity you. It'll be like watching the
worse dub version of your favorite anime.
For those of you who have no idea of what I'm
talking about, Fuujin Ryouiki Eretzvaju was a
pretty straightforward fighting game released in
Japan for Playstation with fairly simple CG in-
game graphics.
HOWEVER, the opening and ending (cel-style)
animations were awesome and very nicely done.
Plus, each of the fighting characters had
excellent character designs as well as unique and
diverse storylines. The game also boasted an all-
star seiyuu cast to play the characters
(including Midorikawa Hikaru, Kikuko Inoue,
Noriko Hidaka, Houko Kuwashima, Tomokazu Seki,
and Gendo Tessho). Finally, the opening
theme, "Kiss In The Dark" may arguably be the
best song ever supplied by popular anime theme
vocalist Masami Okui (Slayers, Utena, Di Gi
Charat, Akihabara, etc.).
What makes this particular game very interesting
as my choice for this thread is that there
ACTUALLY appears to have been a limited edition
OVA released for Eretzvaju on laserdisc when the
game was first released. However, I have never
been able to track a copy down and would love to
know if anyone could provide me any leads on
acquiring it.
That's about it.
One more choice that sort of flitted through my
mind is Thousand Arms. Hmm... a dating-
simulation fantasy RPG as an anime... |
