Shitan Uzuki!  Bart Fatima!  Sigurd Harcourt!  Oh 
yeah, and Fei Fong Wong!  Great characters and an 
involved, interesting story-line!  Giant mecha!  
Mental illness in a character prone to going 
berserk!  A megalomaniac villain!  A quest to save 
the world!  A cute mascot character!  I think it 
has everything!

Interesting side note:  In the Japanese version of 
the game, for the dialog in the movie parts and 
the vocalizations for attacks Midorikawa Hikaru 
(Tamahome - FY, Heero - GW, etc.) provided the 
voice for Fei, Tomokazu Seki (Touya - CCS, Ken 
from Weib Kreuz, etc.) is the voice for Bart, Ueda 
Yuuji (the Boshi twins from FY) provided the voice 
for Billy Lee Black and Tanaka Hideyuki (Fujitaka 
- CCS, Aoki Seiichirou - X) is the seiyuu for 
Citan!

See?!  It's crying out to be made into anime 
already!  Look at the calibre of the seiyuu it 
already has!

I do have to second the Final Fantasy VII from 
above though.  And offer another one.  Saga 
Frontier.  It would be interesting to animate each 
of the seven quests in a different artistic style, 
to go with the flavor of the game.  But...

Xenogears!  Definitely my number one choice!
