Sorry it took me so long to respond to this.  
Actually I saw the uncut Japanese, english 
subtitles version.  DOn't get my wrong, I think 
the good guys (Spike, Faye, Jet, and even Ed) 
were explained prefectly, even leaving some 
mystery with Spike.  I just seemed to me that... 
umm, forget writers name, didn't care about the 
other characters that much.
