I have some rather large pre-production art from 
Fox Animation Studios "Anastasia".  They are 
giant drawings which are pasted onto 2'x3' 
foamcore boards. (takes me 8 swipes with the 
scanner)  So anyway, I had my scanner out sitting 
on a stool because there's no way to fit that 
board onto the scanner if it's stiitng on my 
computer desk... it's impossible to maneuver.  So 
I place the scanner on a stool out in the open 
where I can freely rotate the board around.  

Sh there I am... scanning away with the board 
half in my scanner and the other half resting on 
the edge of my bed when the phone rings.  I jup 
up and go to the kitchen to answet it.  Meanwhile 
my cat, who had been sleeping on my bed keeping 
me company, decided to get up and snoop around my 
set-up.  I heard a crash from the bedroom and saw 
the cat come racing out into the livingroom, so I 
ran back in the bedroom to see what happened.

Since the board was forming the perfect bridge 
between the bed and the scanner, she decided to 
just walk right across it!  GAH!  Not that she is 
a heavy cat, but the foamcore snapped right in 
half the second she stepped out onto it!

Needless to say I was quite upset and she avoided 
me for about a week after that!  ^_^  hehehe but 
I got over it and I still have 4 of the 5 boards 
left.
